AutoGarage Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 28, 2026

1. Introduction

AutoGarage is provided by Kleiners Entertainment, Constantin Petrisor Radu, Haydnstraße 3, 66636 Tholey, Germany, who is responsible for the processing described here. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you use AutoGarage, a vehicle-management application for vehicles, maintenance history, fuel records, documents, inspections, reminders and related vehicle information. The use of AutoGarage is also governed by the AutoGarage Terms of Use.

2. Information you provide

Depending on the features you use, AutoGarage may process:

  • Account information, such as your email address, and authentication information needed to operate your account.
  • Vehicle details you enter, including make, model, generation, year, engine, transmission, drivetrain and similar information.
  • Odometer and mileage information.
  • Maintenance and service history, technical inspection information, reminders and maintenance intervals.
  • Fuel and charging records, including quantity, price, total cost, mileage and related information.
  • Expenses and administrative records such as insurance, vehicle tax and vignettes.
  • Documents you upload, such as service invoices, receipts, inspection documents and other vehicle documentation.
  • Photographs you upload, including fuel receipt photographs and photographs used to read an odometer.
  • Information extracted from images or documents using optical character recognition (OCR), when you choose that feature.
  • Other information you voluntarily enter into the application.

3. Information collected automatically

When you use AutoGarage, the following technical information is also processed:

  • Push notification data: if you allow notifications, a push token that identifies the app installation on your device, the device platform (for example Android), the app language, your device’s time-zone offset (so reminders arrive in the morning, local time) and your notification preferences.
  • Crash reports and diagnostics: if the app crashes or encounters an error, a technical report with the error details, app version, device model, operating system version and similar diagnostic information. Crash reports are not linked to your name or email address.
  • Installation identifier: a random identifier created by the app the first time it is opened and stored on your device. It is sent when the app is opened, together with the platform, app version and language, so that we can count how many installations are used and how many lead to an account. It is not derived from your device’s hardware identifiers and is not used for advertising. If you use the app with an account, it is linked to that account; when the account is deleted, the link is removed.
  • Usage events: to understand where people get stuck when they start using the app, the app sends short records of steps in it (for example: a step of adding a car reached, an account created, reminders turned on, an entry saved, the plans screen viewed), together with the installation identifier, the app version and, if you are signed in, your account. We also record the days on which the app is opened (one entry per installation per day). These records contain no vehicle details, VIN, registration number, notes or document contents. They are used only for statistics about how the app is used, are not used for advertising and are not shared with third parties for their own purposes. When your account is deleted, the link between these records and your account is removed.
  • App version: the app version and platform are sent with requests to our servers, so that outdated versions can be asked to update.
  • Purchase information: if you subscribe to AutoGarage Premium, the purchase token, order identifier, plan and subscription status provided by the app store, so that we can verify the purchase and unlock Premium. We do not receive your payment card details.
  • Server logs: technical logs of requests to our servers (for example time, requested address and IP address), used for security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting.

4. Accounts and authentication

AutoGarage supports account authentication. Email and password accounts may be used. Third-party sign-in options, such as Google or Apple, may also be supported where available. These providers process information according to their own privacy policies. AutoGarage does not receive your Google or Apple password through third-party sign-in. If you request a password reset, we send a one-time code to your email address.

5. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Create and manage your account and provide AutoGarage functionality.
  • Store and display your vehicles and maintain service and maintenance history.
  • Calculate and display fuel consumption and vehicle expenses.
  • Manage documents and process OCR requests you initiate.
  • Generate reminders and maintenance information, and send push notifications you have allowed.
  • Send reminder emails about upcoming deadlines and a monthly summary of your car (distance, costs and what is coming up) to your account’s email address, when no phone is registered for push notifications for your account. Every such email contains a link that stops them with one click, and you can also turn them off in the app under Profile → Notifications.
  • Understand how the app is used, from the usage events described above, to improve the first steps in the app.
  • Verify subscriptions and provide AutoGarage Premium.
  • Provide vehicle-related suggestions and known-issue or reliability information where applicable.
  • Maintain security and prevent abuse.
  • Diagnose technical problems and improve application reliability, including through crash reports.
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.

We process information to perform our contract with you (providing the service you use), based on our legitimate interests in operating a secure and reliable service (for example security, server logs and crash reports), to comply with legal obligations, and based on your consent where required (for example push notifications, which you can turn off at any time in the app or in your device settings).

6. Documents, photographs and OCR

You can voluntarily upload documents and images. These files are processed only to provide the AutoGarage functionality you request, such as storing vehicle documentation or extracting information using OCR. Text recognition (OCR) runs on your device; the photo is not sent to a third-party OCR service for this purpose. Please avoid uploading documents containing unnecessary sensitive personal information.

7. Notifications

AutoGarage asks for permission before sending push notifications. You can choose what you receive (maintenance, technical inspection, insurance, tax and vignettes, and the monthly summary of your car) in the app under Profile → Notifications, and you can turn notifications off at any time there or in your device settings. The same screen has a switch for reminder emails and the monthly summary by email, which are sent to your account’s email address only when no phone is registered for push notifications for your account. When you sign out, the device is removed from your account’s notification list.

8. Data storage and security

AutoGarage uses cloud infrastructure to operate its backend and store application data. Your account data and uploaded files are stored on Google Cloud servers in Frankfurt, Germany (region europe-west3). We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or loss. Uploaded user files are not intentionally made publicly accessible. No online system can guarantee absolute security.

9. Data sharing and service providers

AutoGarage does not sell your personal information and does not use advertising or advertising identifiers. Service providers necessary to operate the application process information on our behalf to deliver their services:

  • Google Cloud (Google Cloud Run, Cloud SQL and Cloud Storage) for hosting the backend, the database and uploaded files.
  • Google Firebase Cloud Messaging for delivering push notifications.
  • Google Firebase Crashlytics for crash reports and diagnostics.
  • Google Play for subscriptions and payments.
  • Google and Apple, if you choose to sign in with them.
  • An email delivery provider for sending account emails such as password reset codes, reminder emails and the monthly summary.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect users, the service or legal rights.

10. Data retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the service and maintain your account, subject to legitimate legal and security requirements. Push tokens are deleted when you sign out, when they become invalid or when your account is deleted. Password reset codes expire after 30 minutes. When an account deletion request is completed, account-associated personal data is deleted or anonymized unless retention is necessary for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution or another legitimate legal requirement. Any retained information is kept only for the required or legitimate retention period.

11. Account and data deletion

You can request deletion of your AutoGarage account and associated data through the account-deletion functionality in the app’s account, profile or settings area, where available. You can also request deletion without installing or signing in to the app through our public AutoGarage Account & Data Deletion page. That page explains the email request method, verification, the data deleted and limited retention exceptions. Uninstalling the app alone does not request account deletion. Deleting your account does not cancel an app store subscription; please cancel it in your app store.

12. Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal information, restrict processing, object to processing, receive a portable copy of your information or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You may also have the right to complain to a competent data protection authority. Contact support@autointelcheck.com to ask about or exercise your applicable rights.

13. Children

AutoGarage is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children in circumstances where parental consent is legally required. If you believe a child has provided information in such circumstances, please contact us.

14. International and cloud processing

Service providers may process information in countries other than your country, including outside the European Economic Area (for example, crash reports and push notification delivery by Google). Appropriate safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, are used where required by applicable law.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the application or applicable requirements change. Material updates will be reflected in the “Last updated” date on this page.
