Delete your AutoGarage account and data

You can delete your whole AutoGarage account, or delete some of your data and keep your account. You do not need to sign in to this website or have the app installed to make an email request.

1. Delete your account in the app

In AutoGarage, open Profile, tap Delete account and confirm with Delete permanently. Your account and all its data are deleted from our servers.

2. Request account deletion without the app

Email support@autointelcheck.com with the subject AutoGarage Account Deletion Request. State that you want your AutoGarage account and associated data deleted.

Whenever possible, send the request from the email address associated with your AutoGarage account. If you cannot use that address, explain this in your request. We may require reasonable additional verification to prevent unauthorized deletion of someone else’s account. Do not send your password.

Email a deletion request

Deleting your account does not cancel a Premium subscription. Please cancel it first in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions).

3. Delete some of your data and keep your account

You can permanently delete individual records in the app. They are deleted from our servers, not only from your phone, and uploaded files belonging to them are removed from our storage.

  • Fuel stops and charging sessions: open the entry in Fuel Log and tap Delete.
  • Service visits and inspections: open the visit in the service history and tap Delete. Its work items and photos are deleted.
  • Mileage readings: open the mileage history of the car and delete the reading.
  • Documents, receipts and expenses: open the document in Documents and tap Delete. The document and all its pages and files are deleted.
  • Insurance, vehicle tax and vignettes: open the entry and delete the period.
  • Issues, purchase and sale records: open the event in the vehicle history and delete it.
  • Notifications: delete them in the notification list.

When you delete a fuel stop, a service visit or an insurance, tax or vignette entry, a document attached to it (for example the receipt or invoice) stays in Documents. Delete it there separately if you no longer need it.

“Take out” does not delete a car. Taking a car out of your garage only archives it: the car and its history (services, fuel stops, documents and photos) stay saved in your account and can be restored. To permanently delete a whole car with all its history while keeping your account, email support@autointelcheck.com with the subject AutoGarage Data Deletion Request, from your account’s email address, and tell us which car (for example its name or registration number) to delete. You can also use this address to ask us to delete any other specific data.

What will be deleted

After your account is deleted, we delete or anonymize personal data associated with your AutoGarage account, subject to the limited exceptions below. Depending on the features you used, this includes:

  • Account and profile information.
  • Vehicles, including archived vehicles, and mileage or odometer records.
  • Maintenance and service records.
  • Fuel, charging and expense records.
  • Inspection records, insurance, tax and vignette records, and reminders.
  • Uploaded documents and photographs or images.
  • OCR-derived information associated with those uploads.
  • Notification settings and the devices registered for notifications.
  • Other user-created AutoGarage records associated with your account.

What may be retained

Deleted data can remain for up to 7 days in our encrypted backups and in the storage recovery period before it is removed automatically. Technical server logs are kept for up to 30 days. An anonymous installation identifier that is no longer linked to your account, and records needed to process app store purchases, may be kept. Limited information may also be retained where necessary for legal obligations, security, fraud or abuse prevention, dispute resolution, accounting or other legally required records. Retained information is kept only for the required or legitimate retention period.

Uninstalling AutoGarage does not delete your account. Removing the application from your device by itself does not constitute an account deletion request. Use one of the methods above.
